"A Valentineís Day To Remember"
Sitting at his desk Walker thought to himself, "Hmm, I know there is some important holiday coming up but what is it. Christmas is over and so is New Years. Its not Alexís birthday and the wedding isnít for another four months. What am I missing here?"
Just as he sat there pondering what holiday was coming up Trivette came through the doors of Company B. "Hey partner, why so deep in thought? Busy thinking of something special to do for Alex tomorrow?" Trivette said as he walked over to his desk and sat down the files he was carrying. "Tomorrow?" Walker said kind of puzzled. "Yeah, man, tomorrow is Valentineís Day. Donít tell me you forgot." "Huh? Oh no man, I wouldnít forget that day. Iíd never disappoint Alex like that." Walker said thanking god that Trivette had reminded him of tomorrow.
"Um Trivette, I'm not feeling too well would you mind covering the rest of the day for me? I probably won't be in tomorrow either." Walker said knowing he had to get to work on planning a special day for his ladylove. "Yeah sure Walker. You okay, do you want me to call Alex so she can drive you home?" Trivette asked knowing that when Walker was feeling down or sick she was the only one who could make him feel better. "Uh no Trivette, sheís in court today until 1:00pm. Besides it would only worry her; Iíll be fine." "Okay man, Iíll see you when youíre feeling better." Trivette said to Walker as he was heading out the door.
On the ride back to his ranch Walker stopped at his friend David Jacksonís floral shop. He knew that it being the day before Valentineís Day roses would be hard to find, but he knew David would come through.
He went in and purchases seven dozen long stemmed red roses. Upon his exit of the floral shop he thanked David for saving his butt.
Walker then drove to the ranch to put the flowers into water and finish his plans for Alexís special day tomorrow. He couldnít think of anything special that would make this a memorable Valentineís for her.
Walker was sitting on the couch in the living room stewing over what to do when a light bulb went on in his head. Walker thought to himself, "She said she always loved seeing me in a tuxedo, hmm. I got it!" With that Walker grabbed his keys and left. He drove into the metroplex to pick up some groceries and the finishing touch to his special surprise for Alex.
Back at the courthouse Alex had just finished burying the defense of the Walburgh case and was thoroughly pleased with herself. She packed her files into her briefcase and turned expecting to find her fiancť standing behind her ready to greet her with warm hug and a kiss, but she turned around and all she saw was people exiting the courtroom.
"Well, that sure is strange. Walker always comes and gives me a kiss at the end of all of my cases." She said to herself. "Maybe heís just out in the hallway waiting for me." She said as she grabbed her briefcase and strode out the door to look for her Cowboy.
Once outside the courtroom she looked around and still didnít find him waiting for her. She started to feel a little disappointed when she couldnít find him. She also began to feel a little scared for him. He would always come to see her no matter what, even if he and Trivette were out. He would always come by for at least a minute to give her a kiss. She decided to head over to Company B and see if she could find Walker or at least why he hadnít come to see her.
She walked through the office doors and saw Trivette sitting at his desk working on a pile of paper work. She looked over to Walker's desk and he wasnít there. His hat and jacket werenít hanging on the coat rack either. She was really starting to worry now. He and Trivette never went out on cases without each other.
"Hey Jimmy, have you seen my fiancť around here anywhere?" Alex questioned as she walked over to his desk. "Yeah he went home about three hours ago. He said he wasnít feeling too well. He asked me to cover for him for the rest of the day and said that he probably wouldnít be in tomorrow." Trivette said as he looked down and put his last signature on an arrest report. "What, Walker never takes off? Is he alright? Why didnít you call me? Was he hurt while you guys were out this morning? Did he need a doctor?" Alex said becoming frantic as her questions all ran together. "Whoa, slow down Alex! He just said he wasnít feeling too well. No he didnít get hurt this morning at the bust he was fine. I was going to call you, but he told me not too because he said it would just worry you." Trivette stated. "Did he want me to come out to the ranch later or now. Maybe heís really sick. Maybe he needs me." Alex said with anxiety in her voice. "Alex, calm down. Walker seemed fine when he left. Maybe he just needed some time off to relax. You know your wedding is only four months away, maybe he just needed some time to clear his head. I'm sure heís fine." Trivette said trying to ease her fears but unknowingly raising them. "What! Clear his head about the wedding! Did he say he was having second thoughts!?" Alex said almost in tears.
"Oh smooth move Jimmy, now look what youíve done. Note to self : If another situation like this arises you play dumb." Trivette thought to himself.
"No Alex, he didnít say that. You know Walker loves you and can't wait to marry you. Every time I look over at him he has this dopey grin on his face. I know heís off in his own little dreamland thinking about you." Trivette said really trying hard to calm her fears. "Really?" she asked. "Yes really! Alex he loves you more than life itself. Now why donít you go down to your office and give him a call at home to check on him. I'm sure if he is feeling a little under the weather your voice will make him perk right up." "I think I will give him a call. Itís just not like him to not come to see me after I finish up in court." Alex said as she turned to leave. "Okay Alex, see you later." "Bye Jimmy!" Alex called as she walked out the door.
Alex entered her office and placed her briefcase on her desk then immediately dialed the number at the ranch. She let it ring until the answering machine picked up. She left a message for Walker and told him to call her as soon as he got the message and that she loved him.
She put the receiver down on the cradle and sat there thinking. "He told Jimmy that he wasnít feeling well, and he was going home. That was over three hours ago, so why isn't he home. Maybe heís asleep or at the doctors."
Just as Alex came back out of her thoughts the phone rang. When she heard the ring she jumped at the phone and picked it up.
"Walker, Walker? Is that you, hon?" Alex said with worry and anxiety in her voice. "Yeah sweetie its me. Is there something wrong; I got your message that said to call you as soon as I got it. Are you alright?" Walker said with the anxiety now noticeable in his voice as well. "You didnít show up after my case to give me my usual hug and kiss, so I went looking for you. Jimmy told me you left early and probably wouldnít be in tomorrow. I got worried, but now that I hear from you I'm alright now." Alex said with the relief showing in her voice. "I'm fine honey. I'm sorry I worried you. I just needed a little time off to sort through some things." Walker said. "Sort through some things? Oh god no it can't be!" Alex said as she thought back to the conversation she and Jimmy had.
"Canít be what sweetheart?" Walker said obviously confused. "Youíre having second thoughts about the wedding. You took this time off to think of how to break it off with me." Alex said jumping to a major conclusion. "WHAT!? Alex no sweetheart. Thatís not why I took this time off. I just needed a little time to get some work here at the ranch sorted out. Youíll be starting to move in here soon, and I need to clear out some of my old junk. Oh Alex I love you, and Iíll never have second thoughts about becoming your husband. I can hardly wait till our wedding day. I can only dream of how gorgeous youíll look walking down the aisle. Please sweetie never ever doubt that I want, no need you by my side." Walker said with pleading love in his voice, trying to convince her that he was hers forever. "Really? You mean it?" Alex said with a little sob noticeable in her voice. "Of course I do sweetheart. What ever gave you a silly idea like me wanting to call off the wedding." "Jimmy said that maybe since our wedding is only four months away you wanted to take a little time off to sort out your feelings about it." Alex said still sniffing. "Oh Trivette gave you this little idea did he." Walker said getting a little mad. "Well he just may be wearing a body cast to our wedding if I get my hands on him. No one frightens my girl and gets away with it." Walker said trying to lighten Alexís mood and make her giggle. "Oh honey you wouldnít. He didnít mean to scare me, I just jumped to conclusions." "Okay sweetie, Trivette shall remain in one piece, but if he ever worries you like that again his days are numbered." Walker said in a joking tone. "Hon, are you sure youíre alright. How about I come out tonight just to make sure youíre in one piece?" "You donít have to drive all the way out here. Since Iím off already why donít I come in to Dallas, pick up some groceries, and head over to your apartment and fix dinner for us. Iíll have it on the table by the time you get home. Howís that sound? Then after dinner you can spend all night long making sure I'm in one piece." Walker stated in a soft sexy tone of voice. "That sounds wonderful. Youíre too good to me, you know that." Alex said as her heart swelled with love for the man on the other end of the phone. "You only deserve the best, and that is what I intend to give you forever. Honey, Iíd really love to stay and talk to you longer, but if I want to go for groceries and have dinner ready for you Iíve got to run." Walker said. "Alright sweetie. Iíll see you later." "Bye Alex. I love you." "I love you too."
Alexís fears were at ease now, so she went back to work. Meanwhile Walker put away everything for their special night tomorrow and then headed for Dallas.
Alex finished work around 5:00pm and headed for home. Walker had been true to his word and had a candlelit dinner waiting on the table for her when she arrived home.
"Okay Cowboy, you were true to you word about dinner, now where are you." Alex said softly to herself. "I'm just standing over here admiring the view." Walker said in a soft sexy voice as he walked toward her holding a single red rose. "This is for you my love." Walker said when he reached her side and held out the rose to her. "Oh darling, itís beautiful." Alex said accepting the rose and holding it up to her nose. "Nowhere near as beautiful as you are." Walker said taking a step forward and touching a soft kiss to her lips.
"Ready for dinner sweetie?" Walker asked as he wrapped one arm around her waist and with the other took her briefcase from her. "Definitely. So what have you prepared for us tonight?" "Nothing special, just some fettuccini alfredo and a salad." "Oh honey you know I love your fettuccini." "I know thatís why I made it for you." Walker said as he pulled out her chair for her.
"Now, you sit here and relax, and Iíll go get the wine." Walker said as he dipped his head down to kiss her neck and nibble her earlobe. "Mmm, forget the wine just keep doing that." Alex said as she reached up and ran her fingers through his hair. "The ladyís wish is my command." Walker said as he continued to shower her with his love.
Walker continued kissing and tasting Alexís neck. He left no part unattended to. He could hear her low moans of pleasure as he reached up and let her hair down.
As Walker continued kissing, Alex began to stand. She needed to satisfy her own need to feel her lips on Walkerís. Turning in his arms, Alex pressed her lips to his in a passionate kiss.
"Mmm, I missed you today." She murmured against his lips. "Me too." Walker said against her lips as he ran his hands over her body. "Iím not used to being away from you for so long." He finished.
As the two kissed they gradually began to back away from the table and move toward Alexís bedroom. Walker could not take the torment of just kissing Alex any longer. In one swoop Walker picked Alex up and carried her to the bedroom, kissing her as he went.
When he reached her bed he gently sat her down on it while still holding onto her. She lay back against the pillows with her arms still wrapped around Walker's neck pulling him down on top of her.
"Mmm, let me make it up to you for not coming to see you after court today." He said then kissed her softly. "Let me kiss you and hold you until the sun comes up." Another kiss. "Let me be yours all night long." Kiss. "Let me show you the true depths of my love for you." "Oh honey! Take me, make love to me!" Alex breathed heavily. "All night long!"
The only answer Alex got was Walker to kiss her soundly one more time then begin to undress her. With every inch of skin that he would uncover he would place a feather-light kiss there. All of a sudden in the middle of a kiss Walker sat up and moved away from the bed.
"Honey, whatís wrong?" Alex asked a little surprised that he had moved away from her. "Nothingís wrong love, itís just driving me crazy that these clothes of mine are keeping me from feeling your skin next to mine." Walker said as he took off the shirt he was wearing then his boots and socks. "Arenít you going to take those jeans off too Cowboy?" Alex asked seductively. "Or do I have to tear them off of that cute little butt of yours?" She finished as she began to sit up and move toward him. "Uh uh, these are staying on for the meantime. Iím gonna have a little fun with you. No matter how painful the restriction of these pants may become." Walker grinned as he moved back to the bed.
"Oh youíre so mean, teasing me like this!" Alex said in a frustrated voice. "Mean am I? Well, if thatís how you feel about me Iíll just grab my clothes and head back to the ranch." Walker said as he turned to pick up his shirt. "Bye Alex, Iíll see you at work in a few days." Walker said as he started toward the door. "NO! Honey, wait come back! I was just kidding!" Alex said as she jumped out of bed and ran to where Walker was standing. "Iím not so sure I want to stay here anymore, you called me mean." Walker said still slowly making his way out the bedroom door.
"I didnít mean it sweetie; I was just playing. Please stay with me tonight." Alex said as she stopped Walker by standing in front of him and putting her hands on his bare chest. "Please." She said with a pouty look on her face. "Weelll, alright you convinced me. Iíll stay. I never was very good at saying no to you." Walker said placing his hands on her waist and kissing her softly while he tossed his shirt off behind him somewhere. "Now, where were we?" Walker said as he wrapped his arms around Alex, picked her up, and carried her back to the bed.
Walker gently placed Alex back on the bed and began to shower her with kisses. He brushed soft feathery kisses to her lips and all across her face. He kissed her all over her body, never missing an inch between her lips and her toes. After kissing each of her toes separately he works his way back up her legs and stops at the top of her thigh.
"Now Walker! Take me!" Alex said as she writhed at his touch. "AllÖinÖdueÖtime." Walker said kissing her between each word with his last kiss on top of her feminine mound. "Ahhh!" Alex screamed as she felt Walkerís lips touch her center.
Walker began to explore her with his mouth, touching and tasting everything Alex had to offer. He ran his hands over her body as he explored her depths with his tongue. He lapped at the feminine juices that he encountered there.
Alex was going mad at this sweet torture that Walker was causing her. She needed to feel him inside her. She needed to be one with him. With each movement of Walkerís mouth and each little flick of his tongue, Alexís body jolted with pleasure. She arched her hips up to press harder against his mouth encouraging him to continue harder and deeper.
Walker began to move back up Alexís body. He trailed kisses up her stomach to her breasts. He took one in his mouth and caressed it with his tongue, drawing it to a hard peak. As he pleasured the one in his mouth his hand roamed over the other. He slowly left her breasts and worked his way up to her neck. He brushed soft feathery kisses over every inch.
As Walker showered Alex with his love and attention, Alex thought that she was going to explode. With each kiss and caress Walker drover her closer and closer to the breaking point. When he kissed his way up to her ears she lost all control. She cried out at the shear ecstasy that Walker's touch was causing. Her body shuddered as Walker continued his little game. She couldnít believe the affect that Walker had on her. Just his kisses and touches had driven her to climax.
"I love you so much." Walker whispered in her ear as his lips trailed over it. "Tonight is your night. I live only to please you. You wish is my command." Was said softly as he kissed his way across her face.
Walker pulled back from Alex and sat up. He stayed straddling her and looked down at her with a cute boyish grin on his face. He reached down and gently brushed a stray hair away from her face. When his hand brushed lightly across her face, she opened her eyes to look at him. Alex looked up into his handsome face. She looked into his eyes and saw a spark there that she had only seen a few times before.
"Youíre so beautiful." Walker whispered. "Please Walker, make love to me. No more games. Take me now." Alex said to Walker with a hint of pleading in her voice. "As I said your wish is my command." Walker said bowing his head slightly.
Walker reached to undo his jeans, but he encountered Alexís hands there that stopped him. She pushed his hands out of the way. Walker looked down at her with question in his eyes, but the only answer he got was a devilish grin from Alex. Alex ran her hands over his muscular abs and up his chest then back down to the top of his jeans. She unbuttoned them and then slipped the zipper down.
Walker moved off of the bed and slipped his jeans down and kicked them off into the corner of the room. Alex was soon out of the bed and back into Walkerís arms. Once in Walker's arms she smiled at him seductively then slide down his body to her knees. She slid her hands down his body as she went to the floor. When they encountered the material of his black briefs, she grasped the waist band and pulled them down along with her to free his engorged manhood. At the sight of him Alex nearly climaxed again.
She leaned forward and took him in her mouth savoring the silky feel of his length against her tongue. While her mouth explored Walker's manhood, her hands explored the rest of him. They roamed around to his firm backside and below his shaft to his soft sac.
Walker was getting lost in Alexís actions. He nearly forgot that this was Alexís night. He groaned and reached down to Alexís shoulder to pull her away from him. When he tried to pull her away from him she resisted and continued to taste him.
"Alex, honey please, stop." Walker said panting. "Please honeyÖ" He said as his world began to spin. "Walker whatís wrong? I thought you liked when I did this." Alex said slightly confused at why Walker had stopped her. "Oh darling I love when you do that for me, but tonight is all for you." Walker said as he pulled Alex up to him. "All for you." He whispered then kissed her.
The two continued kissing deeper and more passionately. Alex wrapped her arms around Walker then began to pull him back toward the bed. When she felt her legs bump into the edge of the bed, she lay back and pulled him down on top of her. The two lovers kissed and caressed. They drove each other to the heights of ecstasy and back down to earth again. They made love long into the night until both of them were spent. After all of their energy was spent they cuddled up in each otherís arms and drifted off to dreamland.
Walker woke a few hours later and looked down to the woman wrapped in his arms. She looked like the perfect angel. She was curled up to his side with her head resting on his chest, her hand lying on his abs, and her leg thrown possessively across his thigh. She looked like she was holding onto him for dear life.
He lay there watching her and rubbing his hand up and down her back. Every now and then he would press a soft kiss to the top of her head. God how he loved this woman. It still amazed him that in four months she would be his wife. Walker couldnít believe that out of all of the men she could have chosen to be a part of her life, she chose him. He looked back down to his sleeping angel and saw a smile on her beautiful face. She must have been dreaming.
"How I love that smile. Iíd do anything to see it." Walker said softly to himself as he pressed another kiss to the top of her head. "Today is Valentineís Day my love, and I promise it will be one that you will never forget." Walker whispered to his sleeping angel.
Walker lay there for a few minutes longer holding Alex. He looked over at the clock on the night stand and saw that it was 4:30 in the morning. He knew he had better get going, or Alex would find a way to make him stay. As much as he would have loved to stay with her, he knew he had to get to work on her special day.
Walker kissed Alex once more, and then he slid her out of his arms. Walker hopped out of bed and went in the bathroom to brush his teeth. He always kept a spare toothbrush at her apartment for occasions like this. He came back out of the bathroom and began searching for his clothes that had been tossed into places unknown last night in the heat of passion. He found his jeans on the shade of the floor lamp in the far corner of the room, but his shirt was nowhere to be seen.
"Now where did I toss that dang thing last night?" He thought to himself, scratching his head to show his confusion. "I remember tossing it behind me."
He began to walk around the room trying to find his shirt. On his little search he found one boot then the next. He found his socks too, but he still couldnít find his shirt.
"I can't leave here with no shirt on, and I donít even have a jacket to cover up with." Walker thought to himself as he continued to wander around the room looking for his shirt. "Ha there it is! How the heck did it get up there?" Walker said softly to himself when he saw where his shirt was. "Now how do I get to it?"
Somehow his shirt managed to get stuck on the blades of the ceiling fan. He continued to look at it and laughed to himself at the situation. After a minute of thinking, he ran out to the kitchen to get a broom to knock it off with. It worked and within a minute or two he was fully dressed and ready to head to the ranch.
He walked over to the edge of the bed and sat down next to a still sleeping Alex. He reached out and ran his hand down her cheek in a gentle caress. Just before he stood he leaned down and placed a soft kiss on her lips.
"As much as I would love to stay here and hold you, I have a lot of work to do before I let you in on my little secret." He laughed to himself. "Iíll see you later my angel. I love you." With that Walker stood and left the room.
He walked out into the living room and wrote her a note to explain why he had left so early. Well, it gave her an explanation, but not the exact one.
Good morning beautiful ,
You're probably wondering why you woke up this morning, and I wasnít with you. Well I knew I had to leave early, or you would find a way to make me never want to leave, you are quite good at doing that you know. If you call the ranch and donít get an answer, donít worry. Iíll be out most of the day. I'm not sure if Iíll see you later or not. I might be getting back pretty late. I have to go sweetie. I be thinking about you all day!
I love you,
P.S. You donít know how hard it was for me to leave you this morning. Its getting harder and harder for me to be away from you.
Walker took the note back in and propped it up against Alexís favorite picture of the two of them. He knew she would see it there. After he put the note down he left to clean up the meal that they missed last night. After the kitchen was clean he left for the ranch. Not long after he was out the door, Alex began to wake up.
"Mmm, honeyÖ" Alex started to say sleepily as she reached out to where Walker would have been. "Walker?" Alex said as she reached out and found nothing but a pillow. "Now where is that Cowboy of mine?" She said to herself with a little laugh. "I donít hear the shower." She said getting out of bed. "Oh today is Valentineís Day; maybe heís out in the kitchen making us breakfast to celebrate."
She walked out to the kitchen and found that the dishes from their missed dinner last night had been washed and put away. She couldnít find any sign of Walker anywhere, so she looked around to see if he had left her a note. She walked into her bedroom and found his note propped up against their picture. When she read the note her heart fell to pieces. He forgot. Not only did he forget, he wasnít going to be around all day, and she might not get to see him until tomorrow.
Alex got ready for work and headed into the office. As she was walking through the hall to her office she walked right past Trivette and didnít even acknowledge him. Trivette saw Alex walk by him without a Ďhello!í that she usually gave him, so he ran to catch up with her to see what was wrong.
"Hey Alex! Alex, wait up!" Trivette yelled down the hall. "Hey donít I even get a ĎHelloí this morning?" He asked when he caught up with her. "Whatís wrong Alex? You look like you just lost your best friend." He said as he noted the sad look on her face. "Its nothing Jimmy." She said and continued into her office.
Trivette was going to get to the bottom of this if it killed him, so he followed her into her office. When he was inside he shut the door to give her privacy to speak.
"Now, will you tell me whatís wrong?" He asked as he sat down on one of the chairs in the room. "Its just that today is Valentineís Day, and Walker isn't here. He left me a note this morning that said he wasnít going to be around all day, and he might not get back to the ranch until really late." She said with her emotion evident in her voice. "I'm sure heíll be home to celebrate with you. He wouldnít let you down on Valentineís Day Alex. Heíd never let you down period." "Maybe Jimmy, I just wish I could see him today." "Okay Alex, Iíll see you later. I have to go bring in the Donatello brothers all by myself. Your fiancť left me all alone here today." He said as he walked out the door.
Later that day Trivette was at his computer running some ID numbers on the weapons he found the Donatelloís had in their warehouse. He decided that he was going to give Walker a call to see what was going on with him. Walker told him that he hadnít forgot Valentineís, but he was nowhere to be seen. He dialed the number for the ranch and waited for Walker to pick up.
"Walker." "Walker man what the hell is going on!" Trivette demanded. "What are you talking about Trivette?" Walker asked. "I'm talking about you. You say you're sick yesterday and disappear. You leave Alex a note telling her you won't see her all day. I ran into her in the hallway and she was almost in tears. She thinks you forgot her on Valentineís Day, and if I remember our conversation yesterday, you didnít forget Valentineís. Now whatís going on?" "Alright Trivette, Iíll tell you, but you have to promise you won't breath a word of this to Alex." "I promise now spill it!" "Okay, I have a special evening planned for Alex out here at the ranch. I took yesterday and today off, so I could get everything ready for it. I have seven dozen roses out here waiting for her and her favorite meal. I even cleared out the downstairs guest room and turned it into a double home office for the two of us. I know it seemed a little mean to say I wasnít feeling well; I should have known someone would worry about me, but it was the only half decent excuse that I could think of on such short notice. I'm going to call into Alexís office later when I know sheíll be out and leave a message with her secretary to come out to the ranch as soon as possible. I want this to be a total surprise for her Trivette. If I find out that you told her you're going to get it. You already have it coming to you for scaring Alex yesterday." "Wait! When did I scare Alex?" Trivette said just a little confused. "You told her that maybe I had some things I needed to sort out about our wedding thatís coming up. She thought I didnít want to marry her. When she told me about what you said I nearly drove to your place and choked you. Alex told me it was just a misunderstanding on her part and stopped me from hurting you." "Remind me to thank Alex for intervening." "Please Trivette donít let any of this slip to Alex or Sydney and Gage."
Trivette was so involved in his conversation with Walker he didnít notice that Alex was coming toward his desk with the Donatello brotherís files.
"Okay Walker. I won't; I promise. Bye man. Iíll see ya when you get back." Then he hung up the phone. "Jimmy Trivette was that my fiancť that you were just talking to?" Alex said as she tossed the files down on his desk. "UmmÖahÖ ya seeÖ" Jimmy stammered knowing that Alex was going to grill him now. "JimmyÖ" "Uh yeah Alex that was Walker. He was just calling in to see how the cases were going." Jimmy said. "Well where is he? Did he leave a message for me? Does he know if heíll be back late or not?" "Whoa Alex slow down. Ya know when you get to asking question you go into ADA mode and just start firing them out one after the other. He didnít leave any messages or information on where he is. All he called for was to check on the goons I brought in this morning." Trivette said lying through his teeth. "Thatís all?" Alex said with the disappointment evident in her voice. "Sorry Alex." "Iíll see you later Jimmy. I have to get to a meeting with the mayor and the DA right now." "See ya." Trivette called after her as she strode out the door.
Alex sat through the boring meeting barely paying attention to what the others were saying. She just wanted to get out of there. The meeting was finally over around 5:00pm. Alex went back to her office to put her files away and then go home. As soon as she walked through the door her secretary stopped her.
"Miss Cahill, I have a message for you from Ranger Walker. He said he needed you to come out to his ranch as soon as possible." The secretary said. "Thank you Sue. I'm just going to go in and grab my briefcase, and then I'm out of here. Remember to lock everything up." "I will. Goodnight Miss Cahill." "Goodnight Sue." Alex said as she ran out the office door.
She went to the parking garage and got in her car. She drove as fast as possible to get to the ranch. As she was driving a thousand thoughts ran through her mind. "Why would he call Jimmy and not even bother to call me. Why did he say he was sick yesterday. He seemed fine to me last night. Why was he so loving and attentive last night just to disappear in the morning and not see me all day? If he had work to do at the ranch why would he be gone all day long? All of her questions were about to be answered because she just turned into Walkerís long driveway.
When she pulled up to the house she began to get nervous. The house was completely dark. She also noticed that the tailgate of the RAM was open. Walker never left it open. She walked past the RAM and shut the tailgate as she made her way to the house. She walked up the steps and found the front door was wide open. She walked through the open door and saw nothing.
Walker had purposely left the tailgate of the RAM down knowing that Alex would shut it when she walked past. That was his signal to go hide to surprise Alex.
"Walker?" She whispered softly. "Hi beautiful." Walker said as he stepped out of the shadows of the living room from behind her. "WalkerÖoh honey!" Alex gasped as she saw what he was wearing.
Walker was dressed as a Chippendale. He was wearing the tuxedo pants, white cuffs and collar, and a black bow tie. He was standing there barefoot holding a bouquet of long stemmed red roses.
"Happy Valentineís Day sweetheart. These are for you." Walker said as he stepped toward her holding the roses out to her. "Oh darling I'm speechless. I thought you forgot." Alex said with tears streaming down her cheeks. "Sweetheart I would never forget you on Valentineís DayÖor ever." Walker said sitting the flowers down on the table in the hall. "Honey donít cry please. I thought you would like this. I didnít mean to make you cry." Walker said as he took her and held her in his arms. "Oh honey I'm crying because I'm so happy. This is the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me." Alex said as she leaned up to kiss him.
The kiss conveyed all of the love and passion that they held for each other. Alex reached up and ran her fingers through Walker's hair and pulled him in to deepen the kiss. Walker ran his hands over her back and held her tight to him. The passionate embrace continued until Walker remembered he had a few surprises to show Alex before dinner and dessert. Walker pulled back from the kiss and rested his forehead against Alex's.
"So how do I look?" Walker asked as he stepped back from Alex. "You look amazing. You combined my two favorite ways of seeing you dressed, in a tuxedo and shirtless. I may just have you dress like this more often." "I think that would raise a bit of a scene at one of our fundraisers if I showed up dressed like this." "Then I may just have to take a few pictures of you to remember this." "Take all of the pictures you want. My camera is in the closet upstairs." "You mean you would let me have evidence that you dressed up like this for me?" "Of course." "You mean you wouldnít mind if one day when I'm out to lunch or shopping with some of my friends I would show them the picture and say Ďlook what Walker did for me on Valentineís Day.í" "I wouldnít mind one bit. I want the whole world to know how much I love you." "Whereís that camera?" Alex said happily.
"Your little photo shoot can wait, I have something I want to show you." "Mmm, and what would that be Cowboy." Alex said as she ran her hands over Walker's chest. "Youíll find out in a minute, but you have to close your eyes first." "Close my eyes? Alright lead the way Cowboy." She said putting her hands over her eyes.
Walker led her down the hall to the former guest room and opened the door. He covered her hands with his, so he could reveal his surprise to her when he was ready.
"Are you ready?" Walker whispered in her ear. "Yes! The suspense is killing me." "Alright here it is." Walker said as he removed both their hand from her eyes. "Oh Walker this is wonderful!" She said as she walked into the room to get a closer look.
Walker had transformed the former guest room to a home office for the two of them. It had to identical desks that were each equally equipped except for one thing. Alexís desk had a brand new computer sitting on it. Sitting on both of the desks were several pictures of Walker and Alex together at different occasions in silver frames.
"I bet you can't guess which one is yours." Walker said as he walked up behind Alex and wrapped his arms around her waist. "Oh I think I have an idea. I thought you said you would never have a computer in your house." "This isnít my house anymore." Alex turned and gave him a confused look. "Itís our home." "I love you Cordell Walker." Alex said giving Walker a light kiss. "And I love you."
Walker walked over to Alexís desk and hit the button that turned on her computer. When it started up the screen saver popped on. It was a background of hearts and had "Will you be my Valentine?" written across it. Walker looked back to Alex and smiled as if asking her to answer the written question.
"Of course Iíll be your Valentine honey." She said as she moved toward Walker. "Good because if you said ĎNoí I couldnít give you these." Walker said as he reached down beside the desk and pulled up another bouquet of roses. "More roses? I guess Jimmy will never be able to tease you again for not knowing the price of roses." "I guess. Now come on letís go put your flowers in some water. Dinner should be ready soon also." Walker said as he pulled Alex into his arms and kissed her soundly.
"So you cook too huh? I may just have to keep you." Alex said as she ran her index finger over Walkerís lips. "Iíll do anything you want as long as you say youíll keep me forever." Walker said. "Forever and always." Alex said as she hugged Walker tight and rested her head on his bare chest.
"Come on sweetheart. Dinner should be ready." Walker said as he escorted Alex into the dining room. "Hmm, so whatís on the menu for tonight?" Alex asked as she traced her finger over the muscles in Walkerís chest. "Well, for now, weíre having Cajun shrimp, snow peas and broccoli with lemon, and dessert is a surprise." Walker said holding her hand close to his chest in both of his and kissing her fingers. "Now have a seat, and Iíll go get dinner." Walker said as he sat Alex down in a chair.
Alex looked around her and was amazed. Walker had been a very busy boy the last two days. Many of his belongings were missing from the room, so she could give the house a feminine touch. She looked at the table and saw another bouquet of roses in the middle. There were two lit candles and a bottle of champagne at the table also. Walker came back into the room and placed their dinner on the table, and then he went back to the kitchen. He came back carrying another bouquet of roses.
"Where are all of these roses coming from Cowboy?" Alex said as she accepted the gift. "Thatís my little secret." Walker said as he gave her that special smile that he showed only her. "I have ways of making you talk." "Oh really! Iíll never tell." Walker said playfully. "Honey this dinner looks wonderful." Alex said as she looked at the meal that Walker had placed on the table. "Letís just hope that it tastes alright. Would you like some champagne darling?" "Iíd love some."
Walker poured them both a glass, and then they sat and enjoyed their meal together. They talked about what had gone on in the office that day, and how Alex had been trying to figure out what he had been up to all day long. They talked about the wedding and how they were both looking forward to it and finally being married. While they were finishing their meal Alex noticed that Walker had become quiet. She looked up to find him staring at her with a warm smile on his face.
"Honey whatís wrong? Why so quiet all of a sudden?" Alex said as she moved her hand to rest on top of Walkerís. "You're so beautiful." Walker whispered in a sexy voice. "Iím the luckiest man on earth. I'm engaged to a perfect angel." Walker said getting out of his seat and kneeling in front of Alex, still holding her hand. "Alex, I love you more than I have ever loved anyone or anything in my entire life. You are the reason I live and breathe. Without you I'm lost, this is why I'm going to make you a promise today. I promise you that I will always be here for you when you need me. If you need a shoulder to cry on, some one to hold you, or just some one to talk to about your day, I'm here. Iíll never leave you. You know how dangerous my career as a Texas Ranger is, and I want you to know that if you ever feel frightened of losing me to my job Iíll resign. Just give me the word, and the Rangers are history." Walker said while holding Alexís hand in both of his and gazing lovingly up into her eyes. "Darling, Iíd never ask you to leave the Rangers. I know how much you love your job." "No where near as much as I love you." "Cordell Walker, you are the sweetest, most romantic man I have ever met. I love you with all my heart." Alex said as tears began to run down her cheeks.
They both stood and embraced in a hug that showed the true depths of their love for each other. They stood holding each other for the longest time, but neither notice because time seemed to stand still for them.
"Alex, will you dance with me?" Walker whispered into her ear. "Iíd love to." She said as they walked into the middle of the room.
Walker walked over to the CD player and turned it on. The soft strains of their favorite song began to fill the room. Walker moved back to Alex and took her in his arms. Holding her close to him they began to sway to the music. Alex rested her head on Walker's shoulder, and Walker held her hand in his close to his chest.
Dancin' in the dark
Middle of the night
Takin' your heart
And holdin' it tight
Touchin' my skin
And askin' you to do
What you've been doin' all over again
Oh, it's a beautiful thing
Don't think I can keep it all in
I just gotta let you know
What it is that won't let me go
It's your love
It just does somethin' to me
It sends a shock right through me
I can't get enough
And if you wonder
About the spell I'm under
It's your love
Better than I was
More than I am
And all of this happened
By takin' your hand
And who I am now
Is who I wanted to be
And now that we're together
I'm stronger than ever
I'm happy and free
Oh, it's a beautiful thing
Don't think I can keep it all in, no
And if you asked me why I changed
All I gotta do is say your sweet name
It's your love
It just does somethin' to me
It sends a shock right through me
I can't get enough
And if you wonder
About the spell I'm under
It's your love
Oh, it's a beautiful thing
Don't think I can keep it all in
I just gotta let you know
What it is that won't let me go
It's your love
It just does somethin' to me
It sends a shock right through me
I can't get enough
And if you wonder
About the spell I'm under
It's your love
It's your love
It's your love
As the song ended the couple continued to hold onto one another. Walker nuzzled Alex, and pulled her closer to him in a warm hug. He began to kiss his way down her neck to her shoulders then back up again. Alex moved her head from side to side allowing Walker to kiss her all over. Walker kissed his way back up to her ear nibbled her earlobe.
"That song describes perfectly how I feel about you." Walker whispered softly. "I love you Cordell." "And I love you Alexandra. Now how about we go get more comfortable in the living room, and Iíll build us a fire." Walker said resting his forehead against hers.
Walker took Alexís hand and led her to the couch. When they got there Alex found three more bouquets of red roses sitting there for her. She couldnít believe that all of the roses kept showing up. If she counted right, these would make seven dozen that he had given her. Walker finished building the fire and noticed that Alex was staring at the flowers and decided to tell her their secret meaning. He walked up behind her and put his arms around her waist, pulling her into him.
"Seven dozen roses, Alex. A dozen roses for every year that weíve been together. Theyíve been the best years of my life." Walker said placing a kiss on her neck. "I wouldnít trade a moment of them for anything in the world." Alex whispered. "Not even the ones where all the criminals tried to take us away from each other?" Walker asked turned Alex around to face him. "Not even those, because we always came out of those situations closer together. We have always managed to make the best out of all of those bad times and become a stronger couple." Alex said as she gazed up into Walker's beautiful blue-gray eyes. "I think thatís why we make such a perfect match. We balance each other perfectly, so we can get through the toughest situations and be better because of them." Walker said just before kissing her.
This was a kiss of pure love and devotion. A kiss that caused the rest of the world to disappear except for the two people sharing in it. They kissed long and passionately with their hands roaming the otherís body. When the kiss finally broke they were both out of breath and equally aroused.
"I love kissing you. Do you know that?" Alex said as she pulled Walker toward the couch. "So what makes you love kissing me so much?" Walker said sitting on the couch and pulling Alex down to sit on his lap. "I just love the feel of your lips pressed to mine. I always feel like no one else exists except the two of us when we kiss." "Then I may just have to kiss you forever." Walker said as he pressed his lips to Alexís in a passionate kiss. A long while later, when the kiss ended a breathless Alex whispered to Walker, "You wouldnít hear any arguing from me Cowboy."
They sat there with just the glow of the fire lighting the room, cuddling together. Walker would nuzzle Alex and place small soft kissed across her face and down her neck. Alexís head moved from side to side to allow Walker to shower her with his kisses that she loved so much. Walker began to travel lower on Alexís neck, but he ran into her blouse that stopped him. He reached his hand up and began to unbutton her blouse and remove it. Walker pushed the blouse off of her shoulders and tossed it off to some unknown place in the room. Walker lifted Alex off of his lap and sat her in a laying position on the couch.
"Donít stop, please Cordell, donít stop!" Alex begged as he lay her down. "Oh I have no intentions of stopping, but its time for dessert." Walker said with a wicked grin.
Walker left the room and went into the kitchen and got a bowl of strawberries and a separate dish of chocolate mousse. He knew that they were two of Alexís favorites, and he intended to give Alex everything that she loved tonight. He walked back into the room and sat the dished down on the coffee table.
He knelt down beside the couch and kissed Alex. Walker trailed his kisses down from her lips to her chest where he encountered her bra. He saw that it had a front clasp and decided to have a little fun with her. He looked up into Alexís eyes and reached down with his mouth to open the clasp of the bra with his teeth. He held his gaze into Alexís eyes and saw a fire building within her.
He continued to stare into her eyes as he worked his way lower down her body. He got to her skirt and took it off of her and finished undressing her. With all of her clothes discarded and strewn across different places in the room. Walker began to serve their dessert. He reached into the bowl, picked up a strawberry and dipped it into the chocolate mousse. Walker raised the berry up to Alexís lips and out lined them with the mousse then offered her the berry. After she took a bite Walker leaned down to lick the mousse off of her lips.
He repeated dipping the berry, but this time he made sure he got extra mousse on it. Taking the berry he put the mousse on the tips of each breast then drew a trail down to her moist center. Walker ran his tongue over her breasts and licked away all of the mousse. He lingered on each breast kissing and massaging them until Alex was writhing with passion at his touch. Walker began to lick and kiss his way down Alex's body along the trail of mousse that he had drawn on her before.
He reached the end of his trail and placed his last kiss to remove the remaining traces of mousse on her sweet center. Walker thoroughly enjoyed seeing the pleasure he brought to Alex. He continued his loving assault on Alex's womanhood. He touched and tasted every bit of her over and over again. With his mouth and hands alone he brought her to three climaxes. He never stopped or slowed as her body convulsed from his loving.
Alex was going mad with pleasure. Her body felt as if it were on fire. She cried out Walker's name over and over again in the heat of passion. This just drove Walker more and more to please her. It was time for her next surprise.
Walker stood up and backed away from Alex. She looked at him wondering why he moved away.
"Since I'm dressed like a Chippendale I might as well try my hand at it." Walker said as he began to perform a strip tease for his fiancťe.
He moved the coffee table out of the way and then went to turn on the CD player that was ready with music for his routine.
He moved over to Alex who was now in a sitting position on the couch. He stood in front of her and danced for her. He gyrated and swayed his hips in an extremely provocative manner. The entire time he was dancing he kept his eyes locked on Alex's.
Walker undid his pants and slipped them off to reveal that he was wearing a tight black silk g-string that left nothing to the imagination. He tossed his pants off to some unknown section of the room and continued to dance for Alex.
He moved over to where she was seated on couch and put one foot up on the couch beside her. He gyrates his hips in front of her, pumping them in and out.
Alex canít take this; its just too tempting for her to touch him. She reached up to touch his hard erection that is straining against the fabric of his g-string.
"Sorry darling we canít have you doing that just yet." Walker whispers and backs away from her. "Uhh." Alex moans. "Just watch."
Walker steps back out into the middle of the room and continues dancing for her. He turns around and starts to sway his butt in a circular motion. He has his hands behind his head, and he is looking over his shoulder at Alex as he dances for her.
He sees the passion burning in her eyes and decides that its time for the final touch to his strip show. He slides down his g-string and sends it sling shot style into Alex lap. He stops his dancing and stands in the middle of the room wearing only cuffs and a collar, with his arms crossed in front of his chest. The firelight is dancing across his well muscled body making him look like a god.
"Ready for the rest of your dessert?" Walker asked seductively. "Oh hell yes!!" Alex said as Walker walked over to her.
"Now Walker! Now, I need you now!" Alex shouted as she could feel yet another climax rising within her from him dancing for her, and this time she wanted Walker to ride out the waves of pleasure with her.
"Now?" Walker whispered just as he kissed her passionately. "Yes now!! Take me!" Alex commanded. "Yes Maíam!" Walker said driving his steel hard manhood deep within Alex. "Ahh, Walker!" Alex screamed.
Walker and Alex found their rhythm almost immediately. They knew each other so well they knew just what the other liked. Both were repeatedly yelling the others name in passion.
Alex couldnít take the shear ecstasy any longer. Her climax hit her like a ton of bricks. Walker followed suit and exploded within her. His world spun out of control.
The couple lay tangled in each others arms basking in the afterglow of their love making. Their bodies sated by the loving. Both were desperately trying to catch their breath from their rigorous workout.
"What you do to me Alex." Walker panted. "You, how about me." Alex said breathlessly. "That was amazing darling!" Alex said finally catching her breath. "You're amazing Alex." Walker said pressing a kiss to her cheek.
Walker and Alex drifted off to a peaceful sleep together on the couch, wrapped in each otherís love. The next morning Walker woke up, and Alex wasnít in his arms. He stood up and walked around the house. He called her name a few times until he heard her say, "I'm up here honey."
Walker went upstairs to find that Alex had got his camera out and was going to make him hold true to his promise that he made her last night.
"Ready for your photo shoot Cowboy?" Alex asked with a sly little smile thinking he would disagree immediately. "You bet I am; just let me go put my outfit back on." Walker said and went downstairs to put his costume back on.
Alex stood in the hallway totally stunned that Walker was going to let her have evidence that he dressed up like that for her. She came out of her reverie and raced downstairs; she wasnít going to pass this chance up. She got down to the living room and found Walker straightening his tie.
"Well, how do I look?" Walker asked. "Damn sexy, Cowboy!" "Where do you want to take these pictures?" He asked. "Follow me." Alex said taking his hand and pulling him toward the door.
She took him outside to the porch and had him lean up against the pillar at the top of the steps. "Wait, I know what this picture is missing." Alex said and ran into the house.
Alex came back outside carrying one of the roses that Walker gave her the night before.
"Okay, now lean back up against the post like you were before, and take this rose and hold it up to your nose like your smelling it, but look directly at me." Alex said stepping back in the front yard. "Perfect! Hold that pose." Alex said and snapped a few shots. "How about a few more shots Cowboy?" "Anything you say, love." "Great come on." Alex said and led him off toward the barn.
They got to the barn and brought Angel out and saddled her. Alex led Angel out to where Walker was standing next to a tree, and she gave the reins to Walker.
"Okay now lead Angel toward me. Hold the rose in your left hand and the reins in your right." "Do you want me to smile?" "Yes, you had the sultry look in the last picture. You can smile in this one."
Walker did as he was told, and Alex snapped the pictures. Alex was in her glory taking all of these pictures. Walker had never seen her so happy, and that made the outfit and the pictures all worthwhile.
"Okay, now saddle up." Alex instructed. "Hold the reins up with both hands while holding the rose." Alex said, and Walker did as he was told.
Alex took a few more pictures outside, and then took Walker back into the house. She wanted a few shots of him in that little black g-string he had on.
When they got in the living room Alex pulled the shades shut, so the room was dark. She had Walker build a fire to set the mood for more pictures.
"Alright Cowboy lose the pants!" Alex said happily. "Lose the pants?" "You got it, now drop emí!" "Whatever you say love." Walker said dropping his pants. "Now what?" "Lie down on you side in front of the fire and prop your head on your right arm." "Do you want the rose in the picture?" Walker asked. "Yes it ties all of the pictures together." Alex said handing the rose to Walker.
Alex took more pictures and had Walker change his pose a few times. It was starting to get late, and they both had to go to work that day. They both needed to start to get ready for their day, so they wouldnít be late.
"Honey I hate to interrupt your photo shoot, but we have to get ready for work. I promise if you want when we come back home later you can take more." Walker said. "Oh you're right!" Alex said looking at her watch. "But I am taking more pictures later." "Alright hon, I'm going to take a shower and get ready down here. You can use the upstairs shower and change in our bedroom. Iíll have breakfast on the table when you come down." Walker said. "Okay; thanks honey." Alex said and hurried up the stairs.
Walker and Alex got ready, had breakfast, and made it to work with only a few minutes to spare. They got on the elevator to take them up to the floor that their offices were on. As luck would have it they were the only ones on the elevator.
"Thank you so much for last night and this morning darling." Alex said wrapping her arms around Walker and kissing him softly. "No thanks needed my love, just being with you is my greatest reward." Walker said kissing Alex in return.
The kiss grew deeper and more passionate with each passing second. Walker wrapped his arms around Alex and held her tight to his body. The couple soon forgot where they were and were totally lost in the kiss that they were sharing, until the elevator door opened.
Whistles and hollers brought them out of their trance and back to the real world. They ended the kiss and looked at the crowd and laughed. Always the gentleman Walker picked up Alex's briefcase that was lying on the floor of the elevator, took her hand in his free one, and walked her to her office.
Once inside the office Walker sat her briefcase down on her desk and then wrapped his arms around her. He brushed a soft kiss to her lips and then touched his forehead to hers.
"It looks like weíre both going to be in for some teasing today." Alex said softly. "It will all be worthwhile after a kiss like that." Walker replied and rubbed his nose to hers. "You're an amazing man Cordell Walker." "I happen to think you're pretty amazing too." "You had better get on down to Company B before they send a search party, namely Jimmy, down here after you." Alex said with a giggle. "Alright hon. Iíll see you later." Walker said before kissing her once more and heading toward the door. "Lunch?" Alex asked hopefully. "As much as Iíd love to I canít. Trivette and I have to go pick up a prisoner in Austin and transport him back here for trial. Weíll be gone most of the day." Walker said. "Oh then I guess Iíll see you later." Alex said disappointedly. "But I promise that Iíll stop in here as soon as we get back which will probably be around the time we would be heading home anyways." Walker said. "Alright honey. Be careful today." "I will. I love you Alex." "Love you too Cowboy." Alex said and blew him a kiss.
Walker reached out as if to catch the kiss that Alex blew him and then held it to his heart. He gave Alex a wink goodbye and walked out the door and over to Company B.
"Hey partner heard that you had an interesting elevator ride!" Trivette yelled to Walker as he walked into the office. "Good news travels fast around here doesnít it." Walker laughed. "So I was kissing my fiancťe, I'm allowed." Walker said sitting down at his desk. "Yeah but you making a scene like that in front of everyone. Its just not like you. You feeling alright Walker?" "I'm fine Trivette; now letís get going to Austin and get this over with. I promised Alex that I would be back about the time we head home." Walker said grabbing a few papers off his desk to take to Austin. "That woman has got you wrapped around her little finger, and you're not even married yet." Trivette laughed as the two Rangers walked out the door.
The entire day was pretty much uneventful, minus the fact that Trivette was having a field day teasing Walker about his and Alex's kiss in the elevator. They arrived in Austin and picked up the convict earlier than expected which meant that they got back to Dallas earlier. Walker had Trivette take the prisoner to lock up while he headed down to Alex's office to surprise her.
"Oh hi Ranger Walker! Ms. Cahill said that you probably wouldnít be here until around five." Sue said. "I know; I didnít think I would be here this early either, but we finished up in Austin two hours early." "Thatís great, Iíll buzz her and tell her you're here." Sue said reaching for the buzzer button. "No wait Sue I want to surprise her. Can you just tell her that thereís a man here to see her about a case and he says its urgent?" Walker asked. "Sure I can hold on." BUZZ. "Yes Sue." Alex said over the intercom. "Ms. Cahill thereís a man here to see you about a case. He says its urgent." Sue said. "Send him right in." Alex said.
Alright Ranger Walker go on in." Sue said to Walker. "Thanks Sue." Walker said with a smile. "Anytime."
Walker went to Alex's door and knocked on it gently.
"Come in." Alex said. "How can I help you?" she asked when she heard the door open. "You can come give me a hug if youíd like." Walker said playfully. "Walker! Alex said looking up from her desk. "What are you doing here so early?" she said getting up and running over to him. "We finished up in Austin earlier than we expected, so here I am." Walker said wrapping his arms around Alex. "I'm so glad you came to see me. I havenít been able to think straight all day. All I kept seeing was you in that little black g-string." Alex said as she traced her index finger across Walkerís chest. "I may have to wear that more often if it keeps me on you mind." Walker said softly. "Your always on my mind handsome." Alex said resting her head on Walker's shoulder.
"What time do you think youíll be ready to head home hon?" Walker asked. "Probably around five like always." "Okay, Iíll meet you here, unless you want to come down to Company B, and weíll leave from there." "Iíll just come down to Ranger headquarters when I'm all finished, and we can head home." Alex said. "Great; I had better head down to finish up the paperwork on the prisoner Trivette and I went to get today. If I donít Trivette will gripe about it for a week." Walker stated. "Okay, Iíll be down to the office later then." Alex said and gave Walker a kiss. "Okay. Iíll be waiting." Walker returned her kiss and walked out the door.
Walker went to Ranger headquarters to finish his paperwork and wait for Alex. Trivette was still relentless in needling Walker, but Walker really didnít mind because he wanted the whole world to know how much he loved his fiancťe, and at the rate Trivette was going with all of his little jabs at Walker the whole world probably did know.
Alex was finished with all of her work for the day, so she packed up her briefcase and headed down to meet Walker. She walked into the Ranger office to the sound of Jimmyís laughter. She saw him standing in front of Walker's desk laughing so hard she thought he was going to be rolling on the floor at any moment. She looked to Walker to see if he was laughing too. The only thing she saw was Walker shaking his head at Trivette.
"Jimmy Trivette what are you laughing at?" Alex asked. "Oh hi Alex; I didnít even see you come in. Nothing just teasing Walker." Trivette said through his fits of laughter. "Well stop it!" Alex said as she walked over to Trivette and lightly slapped him on the arm. "Whatís the matter Walker now you Alex defending you." Trivette laughed. "Hey I canít think of a better person." Walker said walking over to Alex. "Thank you hon." Walker said and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"You ready to leave?" Alex asked. "Yep letís go." Walker said taking Alex's briefcase from her. "See ya tomorrow guys." Trivette called after his friends. "See ya." Walker and Alex said together.
Alex and Walker went down to get on the elevator that would take them down to the parking garage. When they stepped on they once again realized that they were the only ones on the elevator.
"What do you want to do when we get back to the ranch hon?" Walker asked. "Well how about we fix dinner, go out for a little ride, and then when we get back I can finish our photo shoot from this morning." Alex said with a wicked smile. "Sounds almost perfect to me hon." Walker said. "Almost perfect? What would make it absolutely perfect?" Alex asked. "If you joined me in those pictures." Walker said and raised his eyebrows up and down. "I think that can be arranged Cowboy." Alex said as the doors of the elevator opened, and they walked to the Ram.
Usual disclaimers apply. The song used in the story is "Its Your Love" by Tim McGraw & Faith Hill
